If you talk on your cell phone for long periods of time, you probably
know that the battery power drains quickly. Heavy and extended use of a
cell phone can drain the battery in less than a day. Cell phone
batteries are rechargeable, however, so you are able to regain a battery
charge at home, the office or in your car. Although charging a phone
fully may take awhile, you don't need to wait for the phone to finish
charging before you can use it.
Instructions
-
1
Check your cell phone to make sure it is using an official
battery from the phone manufacturer. Third-party discount batteries may
overheat while the phone is charging if you talk on it at the same time.
-
2
Connect the cell phone to any charger. Most phones come with
either a USB cable for charging via your computer, or an AC power
adapter that plugs into an electrical outlet.
-
3
Turn on the speakerphone option on your phone, if possible,
then dial or accept calls as you normally would. With the speakerphone
on, talking on your phone as it charges is safer. This is because you
won't be holding the phone if it happens to overheat.
-
4
Pick up the phone and use it as normal, if you can't use the
speakerphone feature. Keep your calls as brief as possible. If the
phone starts to get hot, end the call and set the phone down.
