How to Resize Images without Opening the Image Editing Tool

Windows is supplied with Paint that is the only built-in image processing application for Windows. However this is a good app but just for the folks who need to do basic editing, but for those who want to edit images to a high end don’t find Paint to be desirable. Microsoft has not updated Paint in last four years which is definitely a big time and due to this the application lacks a number of features that one would find easily in a third part application.

Along with other features Paint is inefficient to support batch image resizing that is you can only resize single image at a time with Paint. Another snag with paint is that whenever you want to resize an image you have to open up the application. You have to right click on to the image you want to resize, click open with, select Paint, press Ctrl+W hotkey and provide new horizontal and vertical size for the picture.
This is indeed a lengthy and hectic way for image resizing. One would prefer a tool that doesn’t need this entire chore and with which you can easily and quickly resize your image without opening the application. This is for what Image Resizer Tool is designed for. With Image Resizer you can resize images from the context menu. It means you don’t need to launch the program to resize the image. Just right click on the image and you will find option to resize the image right form the context menu.
The upside of the tool is that it also supports batch image resizing which is often not offered by other image editing tools and not even by Paint. The program is pretty simple to use. Just right click the image and select Resize Picture and you would be displayed with image Resizer dialog. There you will find pre-defined sizes or you have an option to enter a custom size.

The other options in the Image Resizer dialog include, Only Shrink Pictures, replace Originals and Ignore Picture Rotations. The resized image is saved in the same location of the original image. The program is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Operating System. You can download the program by visiting the download page provided below.
