How to Resize Images without Opening the Image Editing Tool

Windows is supplied with Paint that is the only built-in image processing application for Windows. However this is a good app but just for the folks who need to do basic editing, but for those who want to edit images to a high end don’t find Paint to be desirable. Microsoft has not updated Paint in last four years which is definitely a big time and due to this the application lacks a number of features that one would find easily in a third part application.


Along with other features Paint is inefficient to support batch image resizing that is you can only resize single image at a time with Paint. Another snag with paint is that whenever you want to resize an image you have to open up the application. You have to right click on to the image you want to resize, click open with, select Paint, press Ctrl+W hotkey and provide new horizontal and vertical size for the picture.
This is indeed a lengthy and hectic way for image resizing. One would prefer a tool that doesn’t need this entire chore and with which you can easily and quickly resize your image without opening the application.
